Frequently asked questions
How much does a 7 Days to Die server cost?
Billed hourly by RAM size, from ฿1.70 an hour at 8 GB, only while the server is online, and never more than ฿25 per 24-hour round or ฿529 per 1-month round. Within each round, the system picks the cheaper one for you. With auto-sleep on, an empty server sleeps itself — those hours cost nothing.
How much RAM do I need?
7 Days to Die needs at least 8GB for the dedicated server to run smoothly. Go bigger for a larger crew or a bigger world.
Can I change the zombie difficulty or sandbox settings?
Yes — pick a sandbox difficulty preset, or paste a custom code generated from the game's own singleplayer menu, right from the server's Settings tab.
How do friends join?
Copy the server address and password from the dashboard — friends paste the address into the game's server browser and enter the password to join. No extra software needed.
The server is asleep — can I connect right away?
The first connect wakes the server and may not get through — wait a minute or two for it to start, then connect again. Auto-sleep itself must be enabled in the server's Settings tab first (it's off by default).
